IdenTEENfication is a visual and emotional exploration of adolescent identity, situated at the crossroads between

the fading childhood and the swiftly approaching adulthood.

The project’s protagonists are Ukrainian teenagers aged 15–19, currently living in different countries across Europe.

I invited them to co-create the project. They took self-portraits and answered three questions that reveal what is

often hidden behind words: seven words of their sense of self, their inner color, and their dream for the future.

These personal fragments became the foundation for a visual statement.

I deconstructed their images, assembling them into mosaic-like collages with intentionally missing elements — a

metaphor for the fragmentation, vulnerability, and search for identity during the transition to adulthood.

Mirror fragments are included to engage the viewer: as they piece together someone else’s face, they unexpectedly

encounter their own reflection.

IdenTEENfication is an attempt to capture the fragile, ever-changing nature of youthful identity. It’s a conversation

about self-awareness, change, and the fine line between “me” and “others” — when the personal becomes universal, and a mosaic of another’s story unexpectedly resonates within you.
